Mickey Guyton just unveiled details surrounding her new album, Remember Her Name.

Following the success of her EP Bridges, which earned the Capitol Nashville singer a historic GRAMMY nomination with her song “Black Like Me,” Guyton is set to release the 16-track project on Friday, September 24.

Guyton, who co-wrote 15 of the album’s 16 tracks, hopes the song resonate with fans far and wide.

Remember Her Name is a culmination of the last ten years of my life in Nashville,” Guyton shared. “This album is the closing of a chapter. All those years ago, I set out to create music that would make people feel self-empowered, loved, and comfortable with being themselves and this album holds true to all of that. I hope everyone who listens finds something that connects and speaks to them.”

Mickey Guyton continues to make history in the country music scene, as she was the the first Black female country artist to perform at the GRAMMY Awards. The country singer also co-hosted the 56th Academy of Country Music Awards this past April with Keith Urban, had a legendary performance of her GRAMMY nominated song “Black Like Me” and her aforementioned track secured a spot in the Top 5 songs of 2020 (all genre) by NPR and The Associated Press.
