Country superstar Miranda Lambert transports fans back in time to the Old West in her brand new “If I Was A Cowboy” music video.
Directed by longtime collaborator Trey Fanjoy, the western-themed clip opens as Lambert saddles up her horse and rides through the Tombstone-looking town.

She then meets up with her cowboy cronies, and when night falls, they are seen winding down by a fire with drinks in hand.
The video comes to a climax in the town watering hole as Lambert, wearing a custom rhinestone ensemble by DanielxDiamond, enters the smoke-filled saloon, packed with gun-slinging cowboys.

Lambert’s husband, Brendan McLoughlin, portrays the role of a cowboy playing poker and winds up saving the day as he cracks a liquor bottle over his unruly opponents’ head when draws his gun at the poker table.
The clip concludes as Lambert rides off into the sunset on her stallion.

This is the third time McLoughlin has appeared in one of Lambert’s videos, following “Tequila Does” and “Settling Down.”
“Miranda Lambert may have convinced me to put on my hat and boots for this one,” McLoughlin shared ahead of the video’s release.
Lambert debuted “If I Was A Cowboy” in mid-October. The superstar says the track, which she co-wrote with Jesse Frasure, brings out her “true inner Texan.”

“We met doing the remix of “Tequila Does” and he and I just got together one day, one afternoon for a write and this is what came out of it,” Lambert shared of writing the song with Frasure. “You know, it’s funny, he’s a Detroit boy, and I’m an East Texan, but somehow we wrote a song about the Wild West together. So it’s pretty cool.”

Here’s The Story Behind Lambert’s All-Black Saloon Look
In rowdy saloon scene of the music video, Lambert is seen sporting an all-black custom ensemble by DanielxDiamond.
Daniel Musto and Lani Lupton designed the sleek look after Lambert’s longtime stylist, Tiffany Gifford, reached out to them. Musto says they were “immediately excited” to work with the country star.
They developed what they’ve dubbed “The Miranda Hat.” The under-belly of the black Stetson is covered in rhinestones and the belt of the hat is adorned with a signature hand-rhinestoned feather.
Musto and Lupton paired the hat with rhinestone fringe jeans that are adorned only on the lower half. The jeans are unlike anything DanielxDiamond has ever created.

“Our team refers to them as the ‘Selena Jeans,’ as they have a throwback feel to the salsa-style of the late nineties star,” says Musto.
“We couldn’t finish the look without our signature rhinestone western belt, which has been a staple throughout DanielXDiamond looks since we premiered at Stagecoach in 2019,” Musto adds.
“The Miranda Hat” retails for $900, while the belt retails for $175. The DanielxDiamond rhinestone jeans are executed by appointment only and range in price. For more information, fans can visit DanielxDiamond.com.
