Toby Keith Received The Honor In 2023
Lambert follows Toby Keith as the recipient of the Country Icon Award after he was honored with the inaugural award last year.
“A tour de force in country music for more than 20 years, Miranda Lambert’s groundbreaking albums continue to capture the hearts of fans around the world,” Jen Neal, Executive Vice President, Live Events and Specials, NBCUniversal Entertainment, shared in a statement. “We’re so excited to celebrate her career, fierce individualism and innovation in the industry with the Country Icon Award.”
A Career Full Of Milestones
Since breaking onto the country music scene with her major label debut single, “Me and Charlie Talking” in 2004, the three-time Grammy Award-winner has gone on to create an illustrious career as a singer, songwriter, restaurateur, businesswoman, and New York Times best-selling author.
She’s also a passionate advocate for shelter animals and founded the MuttNation Foundation to further her mission, raising nearly $10 million to date.

New Album Coming Soon
The most-awarded artist in ACM history and a TIME100 honoree, Lambert is preparing to release her ninth studio album, Postcards From Texas, on September 13. This project marks her first release via her new label home, Republic Records with support from Nashville’s Big Loud.
The album includes 14 tracks, including the fiery lead single, “Wranglers,” which continues to climb the charts at country radio, as well as the recently released tracks, “Dammit Randy,” “Alimony,” and “No Man’s Land.”
Lambert wrapped up a twice-extended run in Las Vegas earlier this year and continues to tour extensively. This fall, she will bring her live show to Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater in celebration of the 15th anniversary of her MuttNation Foundation. Taking place on October 5, this show will feature Lambert performing alongside several friends with proceeds going towards helping dogs find forever homes.
