Morgan Wallen was a two-time winner at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Which Awards Did He Win?

Although the country star was not present for the show at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, he was honored with two awards: Country Artist of the Year and Country Album of the Year for his record-breaking album, One Thing At A Time.

Wallen was nominated alongside Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, and Luke Combs in the Country Artist of the Year category.

His song “Last Night” was up for several awards, including the all-genre Song of the Year honor, however, “Kill Bill” by SZA took home that award.

Other country music artists who took home wins at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards include Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson.

What Has Morgan Wallen Been Up To?

Wallen has remained mostly out of the spotlight in recent months, with his last major appearance being at the 2023 CMA Awards last fall. During the show, he took the stage alongside Post Malone and HARDY to tribute the late Joe Diffie. It was later announced that the artists would be lending their voices to  HIXTAPE: Vol. 3: DIFFTAPE, which dropped last week.

Back In The Studio

It appears he’s been busy in the studio in recent weeks, once again teaming up with producer Joey Moi to begin work on an upcoming project. Further details about the East Tennessee native’s forthcoming new music have yet to be revealed.

He recently enjoyed a “boys weekend” with his longtime friends ERNEST and HARDY and according to ERNEST, they wrote a couple of songs during their time together. It’s unclear if those songs will land on his next album, or on someone else’s project.

On top of working on new solo music, the superstar got into the studio with Post Malone to record a collab for the genre-bending star’s buzzed-about country project. Post Malone teased the track on socials last month, causing a wave of excitement among their respective fan bases. A release date for the Morgan Wallen/ Post Malone collaboration has yet to be announced.

Returning To The Road

Later this week, Wallen will return to the road with the launch of his 2024 tour. This trek, which serves as an extension of his wildly successful 2023 One Night At A Time Tour, kicks off on April 4 with back-to-back nights at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The tour will make stops at stadiums across the country, including Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, Philadelphia’s Citizen Bank Park, Minneapolis’ US Bank Stadium, and many more through August.

This Bar Opening Soon

2024 will also bring the opening of Wallen’s highly anticipated Nashville bar, This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen. Situated on 4th Avenue, near the iconic Ryman Auditorium and just steps away from Broadway, the six-story This Bar is expected to open its doors later this year.
