On the morning of January 7, 2026, at 7 a.m. EST, Neal McCoy celebrated a proud milestone on the White House North Lawn. For the past 10 years, the country star has delivered the Pledge of Allegiance live on Facebook, turning what began as a simple idea into a cherished tradition that unites Americans coast to coast in a shared moment of patriotism.

Known for his authenticity and heart, McCoy has earned many awards and has long supported the U.S. military, performing for troops around the world. Getting to do the daily pledge is something that has become very meaningful for him and has allowed him to connect with his fans in a whole new way.
“Patriotism is not political,” says McCoy. “Today is a big milestone for me and for all the followers that tune in each day to recite the Pledge of Allegiance with me. I am honored to be in the nation’s capital and especially the White House. It is such a historical building and one of the most worldly known buildings, so to be welcomed inside the gates and to honor our flag and America here is really something.”
During this morning’s live appearance, he began by thanking everyone who has joined him on this journey for the past decade. He admits there were days where if he didn’t have the videos to hold him accountable, he may have gave into the ease of sleeping in, but with their support he has upheld this ritual every day.
“Thank you for all your support over the years…We’re gonna continue to do this maybe even have a chance to say the pledge with the president.”
McCoy proceeded to ask all those watching to join him from wherever they are watching, took off his hat and delivered the Pledge.
“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,” he proudly stated with his right hand over the heart.
The Texas native also made an appearance on Newsmax to commemorate the milestone anniversary. There, he explained that the idea to start this ritual began back in January of 2016. At the time, he was witnessing members of the democratic and republican parties arguing over their differences an lieu of the upcoming election.
“I knew they were already starting to hammer on each other pretty good and I just said, I can go and let, everybody, really, doesn’t matter who’s gonna win the presidency or run the administration, I’m still gonna pledge my allegiance to our flag and to our country no matter what happens,” he told the reporter.
From there, the live appearances started blowing up and reaching up to a million people in a day, he added.
“It’s just something I’m extremely proud of,” McCoy declared.
What began as a simple act has turned into a decade-long commitment, and McCoy says he plans to keep showing up and proudly reciting the Pledge of Allegiance alongside anyone willing to listen, regardless of political beliefs.
