Priscilla Block turned heads on the CMA Awards red carpet in a chocolate-brown, strapless corset gown paired with sparkling jewelry, but it was her date who really completed the look. The country star arrived arm-in-arm with her longtime boyfriend, Elijah, marking the first time the couple has made an appearance at a major award show together after keeping their relationship private for several years.

Elijah matched her effortlessly in a sleek all-black suit topped with a black cowboy hat and a brown pocket square that tied their looks together perfectly. This moment proves that Block is finally ready to let the world in on their love story.

In string of recent TikTok videos, the songstress opened up about the ups and downs of their relationship that started nearly a decade ago. The two first met in 2016 during a night out in Nashville at Crazy Town, where sparks flew almost instantly.

“We fell in love very fast. It was kind of crazy,” she admitted.

Things began to blossom quickly for the pair. Block supported him through his college graduation and he became her biggest cheerleader as she chased her musical dreams. But after two years of dating, tensions and timing got in the way causing the two to part ways.

“I remember we both just sobbed at his apartment rooftop and [it was] just one of those breakups…I felt like we were at this point where it was like right person, wrong time. I felt like we kind of just started arguing about stupid stuff and I kind of felt like we both just needed time away.”

Life took them in different directions for a while, but Block admits she never stopped loving him. So in 2020, during one of her lowest moments, Elijah reappeared when they ran into each other at a bar. He asked to talk, she initially refused, but he later left a voicemail asking for another chance to reconnect.

Soon after, they found themselves talking for hours and falling back into a rhythm that felt familiar. As Block’s career began to soar, Elijah remained patient, supportive, and willing to wait until the timing felt right again. Now, the two appear to be stronger than ever and Block feels ready to share the relationship she’s cherished privately for so long.

“Y’all know how the internet can take something so beautiful and try and destroy it. So I don’t know. I’ve kind of just held onto this moment for a long time and let it be us. And I don’t know, I kind of just feel like I’m in a, I don’t care what anybody has to say about it now moment. So I think that’s kind of why I want to share it with everybody. Also, I did just release a song called ‘Elijah,’ so I kind of opened up the floor for the conversation,” she added.

Their milestone date night took place during “Country Music’s Biggest Night.”
