Priscilla Block Is Betting on Herself Again as She Begins New Chapter As An Independent Artist

Priscilla Block shared a vulnerable and honest statement with fans, letting them know that she is entering a new chapter of her career as an independent artist for the first time since 2020.

At 17 years old, Block had just graduated high school and made the move to Nashville with a dream and $50 to her name. Through years of hard work, determination and connecting with fans, she built a dedicated following and eventually found a home with MCA/Mercury Nashville and InDent Records.

For the past six years, Block has released music with the support of a record label, including her sophomore album, Things You Didn’t See, which arrived in October 2025. Now, she is embarking on a new path with plans to release music independently for the foreseeable future.

Being open and honest with her fans has always the core of Block’s career, whether she’s sharing glimpses of her life on social media, connecting with fans at shows or telling her story through her music. As she enters this next chapter, she is once again letting her supporters in on the journey.

“It’s always been important to me to keep it real with y’all. I’ve shared a lot over the years… maybe even too much at times, but that’s who I am. The wins, the losses, the highs and lows, and everything in between. Y’all have been such a huge part of this story, and if sharing where I am can inspire somebody else to own where they are, then it’s worth sharing,” she began in her statement on Instagram.

Through a carousel of posts, the North Carolina native admitted she is “really proud” to say that this will be her first time sharing new music independently since her breakout release, “Just About Over You” in August of 2020.

“I knew this was a decision I needed to make, but when I say it was one of the hardest decisions I’ve made in my career, I don’t say that lightly. I found myself at a crossroads. I could keep waiting and hoping things would change, or I could fully bet on myself, my music, and the people who have been betting on me since the beginning,” she continued. “Y’all know confidence hasn’t ever really been something I’ve lacked. But if I’m being fully honest, somewhere along the way I started losing some of it.”

Block says she got to a point where she eventually had to ask herself, “why am I waiting for somebody else to believe in something I already believe in?”

Her goal with taking this step is to find that spark and hopefulness that she had at 17 years old, before anyone knew her name, because that girl believed in herself. This time around things will look different because not only will she regain that confidence, but she will have the fans already in her corner.

“Y’all changed my life overnight because you believed in me and my music. I watched what we were able to do together in real time. I’ve watched y’all do it once, and I genuinely believe we can do it again. I leave this past chapter with nothing but love and gratitude for every person who raised their hand for me, fought for me, believed in me, and helped build this thing alongside me. I can walk away knowing I gave that chapter everything I had.”

“And now? I kinda feel like that girl again,” Block added. “The girl who didn’t know exactly how she was going to do it. She just knew she was going to figure it out.”

The “Good On You” singer revealed she is currently in the midst of writing what she believes is some of her best music yet because of the fact that she is feeling “fired up, inspired, and ready for what’s next.”

While there is some uncertainty in this chapter, she is putting her faith in God and trusting her gut, her team and the fans to help her through.

“I’m fully betting on myself again. Does that scare me sometimes? Absolutely. But sometimes the things that scare you the most are the exact things you’re supposed to do. So here we go! Independent. Grateful. & Hungry…And ready to do it all over again,” she wrote in conclusion.
