“I was leaving work, and I was wearing this Taylor Swift t-shirt and she was just driving by and saw me standing there and was like ‘hey, I love your shirt,’” Block recalled.
Clarkson said, “I love that she did this” before Block went on to share how the moment impacted her life and career.
“It was crazy, I’m like I’m quitting my job, I’m quitting school and I’m going to go figure this out. I don’t know how to do it, but I’m going to figure it out,” the “Just About Over You” singer said.
Block recently opened up about her love of Kelly Clarkson during an interview with Taste Of Country Nights‘ host Evan Paul and admitted that she would become a “total fan girl” if she ever had the chance to meet Clarkson.
The past year has been a whirlwind for Block who gained traction with her raw and honest lyrics on TikTok. She ended up signing a record deal with UMG Nashville’s Mercury Nashville and went on to release her debut single to country radio.
Now, following the release of her album, Block is ready to embark on her first headlining tour and is heading into the upcoming ACM Awards with a nomination for New Female Artist of the Year.
