Mitchell Tenpenny and Meghan Patrick delivered a beautiful performance of “I Hope It Snows” on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry during NBC’s Christmas at the Opry special, which aired on Thursday evening (Dec. 7).

The married country stars were all smiles as they joined forces to bring the duet, which appears on Tenpenny’s 2021 holiday album, Naughty List, to life on the Opry stage. Meghan took the lead on the first first with her pristine vocals. Mitchell then joined in on harmony before their voices blended together on the chorus.

“I Hope It Snows”

The couple gazed into each other’s eyes as they delivered the lyrics, “And I hope it snows on Christmas Eve/ Like a winter wonderland in my parent’s backyard/ And I hope you know how much it means/ To have you in the picture on our postcard/ Holidays in the south is all you know/ So, we’re headed up north, and I hope it snows…”

Honeymooning In Hawaii

Currently, Mitchell and Meghan are enjoying a delayed honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii. According to their latest Instagram posts, the couple has been soaking up the sun and taking in the sights while visiting the Aloha State.

“Finally getting a honeymoon! 🤙🏼,” Mitchell shared on Instagram earlier this week.

In a separate post, Meghan wrote, “1 year later honeymoon… 100% worth the wait 🤙🏼🌺”

How Did Mitchell Tenpenny and Meghan Patrick Meet?

Mitchell and Meghan initially met in Nashville. She reportedly caught his eye when she walked into the room wearing camo. They hit it off, began dating and four year later, returned to the spot they first met for a surprise engagement.

“I met Meghan here so it was the perfect place — and hey, I got engaged ‘at the end of a bar!’” Tenpenny previously told People, referencing his chart-topping duet with Chris Young.

Tennessee Wedding

The couple officially tied the knot on October 23, 2022. According to PEOPLE, they said “I do” on a friend’s Tennessee farm. They added several personal touches to the big day, including an altar that Patrick built with her father, a horseshoe made by her dad’s foundry, which sat above their heads for good luck, and the same cake topper that used in her grandparents’ wedding.

Due to their busy schedules, they never took an extravagant honeymoon, that is until now, nearly 14 months after their wedding.
