Reba McEntire and her boyfriend Rex Linn will soon take their relationship to the small screen on the upcoming season of ABC’s Big Sky.

The real-life couple will portray a husband and wife on the show, according to Deadline. Linn will act as Buck Barnes, the husband of McEntire’s character Sunny Barnes.

“We’re having a blast,” McEntire, 67, told Deadline. “We’re still in the middle of shooting. We were on set last night [Aug. 11] and there was a full moon. I think we broke around 12:54 a.m. MT. It was a long night but so beautiful. We are really loving it.”

Linn, 65, couldn’t help but gush over McEntire’s performance on the popular ABC series.

“Wait until you see her in this,” he raved.

McEntire recently gave fans a first look at the new season of Big Sky as she voices the brand new season 3 trailer.

“Welcome to Montana, a place where the horizon never ends, full of friendly folk, just trying to do right. But in the untamed wilderness, you never know what’s gonna be coming around the bend. One things for certain, once you set foot in this place, you may never want to go home again. And you might not,” McEntire says.

The mystifying clip showcases scenes from the upcoming season, which has been dubbed “Deadly Trails.”

“You never know what’s coming around the bend. A new mystery begins in the season premiere of #BigSky: Deadly Trails, September 21 on ABC,” the country music icon captioned the clip.

McEntire and Linn will also appear together in the upcoming Lifetime film, The Hammer, which is set for release next year.

The Hammer will feature McEntire, her good friend and former Reba co-star, Melissa Peterman, and her longtime boyfriend, Rex Linn.

The upcoming movie was inspired by the life of traveling circuit judge, Kim Wanker.

According to a press release from the network, McEntire will play the role of Kim Wheeler, who is described as “outspoken, firecracker lawyer” who is appointed Judge of the 5th District of Nevada. As one of the few traveling judges left in America, Wheeler finds herself covering a new circuit after the reigning judge passes away under what is described as “suspicious circumstances.”

The plot description goes on to read: “With gavel in hand, she lays down the law with a no-nonsense brand of justice, that quickly earns her the nickname ‘The Hammer.’ As the investigation of the former judge’s death heats up, Kim’s sister Kris (Peterman), who runs the local brothel, suddenly becomes the prime suspect, and Kim must work even harder to make certain the appropriate justice is served.”

Linn is set to play Bart Crawford, “a mysterious cowboy with unknown motives.”

Rex Linn is a television and film actor and is known for roles in shows such as Better Call Saul, CSI: Miami and JAG. He also stars in Young Sheldon, a CBS comedy in which Reba has made two guest appearances.

Reba McEntire is no stranger to television. She starred in her very own sitcom, Reba, for six seasons and later appeared in Malibu Country, Baby Daddy, and Last Man Standing.

McEntire has also appeared in movies such as Tremors and The Little Rascals and voiced characters for Charlotte’s Web, The Land Before Time XIV, PJ Masks, and more.
