Aside from their hit music, country superstars Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan are known for their humorous traits and hilarious jokes. In the years 2013, 2014, and 2015, the pair took their comedy center stage when they co-hosted the ACM Awards.
Sharing playing banter and shooting jokes back and forth for three consecutive years, including the ACM Awards’ milestone 50thanniversary, the duo truly has a bromance like no other; So much so, fans nicknamed the pair “Bluke.”
In a 2015 interview, Luke said, “Blake and I’ve always enjoyed just taking our friendship and releasing it to the people at home.” Blake responded, “yes, our friendship is for sale. You can pay for us to come sit around and be your friends. We’ll come to your house, your BBQs, fairs, just sit around and do this and be friends… two beers, we’ll be there.”
In typical Blake and Luke fashion, when asked the best thing about each other, Luke said, “That’s a good question. The best thing about Blake is that at different points of his life, his butt has been bigger than his belly. At other times, his belly is bigger than his butt.” As expected, Blake replied, “The best thing about Luke is his smile, but he loses his charm when he starts to talk.”
While the two love to mess with each other, it is obvious that they have lots of love for one another!
Aside from co-hosting together, Shelton also served as co-host of the ACM Awards in 2011 and 2012 alongside Reba McEntire. Bryan returned to the show in 2016 and 2017 with Dierks Bentley.
The ACM Awards will return on Monday evening (March 7) with hosts Dolly Parton, Jimmie Allen, and Gabby Barrett. The 2022 edition of the ACM Awards will air exclusively on Prime Video. Click HERE for a step-by-step guide detailing how to watch.
