On this day 1997, Kenny Chesney released “She’s Got It All,” a song that would go on to become his first No.1 hit.
The upbeat love song was an instant hit, ultimately making its way to the top of the US Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart upon its release in 1997.
Written by Craig Wiseman and Drew Womack, “She’s Got It All” acted as the first single off Chesney’s fourth album, I Will Stand.
The ballad, which expresses love for a woman who captures everything one could dream of, consists of lyrics, such as:
“She got it all, my heart, my soul, my wishes/ All of my love, my hugs, my kisses/ Everything that means anything at all/ All of my life I’ve spent hoping/ I could give someone such devotion/ Every sweet memory I can recall/She’s got it all”
Chesney later went on to release a music video for the track, where Chesney shows off some comedic acting skills as well as sings along with his guitar. To watch the video, click here.
Since the release of “She’s Got It All,” The East Tennessee native has accumulated over 30 No. 1 singles.
