Riley Green has recently found himself to be caught in a web of rumors surrounding his love life, something that tends to go hand-in-hand with living in the limelight. With all the conspiracies circulating the internet, fans have been eager to know if there’s a special someone in the picture and Green has finally put an end to all the chatter.
Over the past year, fans have taken it upon themselves to play detective, trying to find what they believe to be clues that reveal whether Green is romantically involved with anyone – including a few female country singers. First, the theories honed in on his “You Look Like You Love Me” duet partner, Ella Langley, which Green has already denied, stating that they are “just friends.”

“I mean, Ella’s probably too smart to date me anyway,” he stated while appearing on Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files.
More recently, the focus has been put on Megan Moroney, who has added to fans’ speculations with subtle online clues. The rumors with the “Am I Okay?” singer began when users started to point out that she and Green happened to be on vacation in Saint-Jean, St. Barthélemy at the same time. Then Moroney posted a picture of her posing in a cowboy hat that looked awfully familiar to one Green was seen wearing in another post.

While these rumors continue to cause a buzz online, Moroney’s recent interview with “>Sirius XM in January firmly indicates that she has no time for a partner right now.
“I feel like these past two weeks are the first time I’ve taken a breath all year, I feel. Even just trying to get to know someone right now, I’m just like, ‘I’m just exhausted.’ I have a whole tour next year,” Megan said. “Maybe in, what, 2026? Maybe I’ll get a boyfriend.”
This week, Green appeared as the first guest on the newly launched podcast, In The Blind, with hosts Eric Gunderson and Cloyd Rivers. During their conversation, he got the chance to finally set the record straight regarding the truth behind his relationship status. Rivers got right to the point during their segment, “Hard Ducking Questions,” when he asked the Alabama native, “you single?”
Green quickly responded, “Single. That was an easy one.”
Gunderson pushed a bit harder when he followed up with “how single?” Green once again confirmed that he is not involved at the moment as he stated he is “pretty damn” single.
The “Worst Way” singer might not be pursuing anything in the romantic department at the moment, but he is staying busy by focusing on his career and even trying out some new things that take him outside of his comfort zone, such as acting. Aside from music videos, Green also gained experience being in front of the camera while appearing as a contestant on seasons four and five of the CMT reality show, Redneck Island. This topic of conversation led him to reveal that more acting could be in his future.
“I needed something else to be doing, like I’m not busy enough,” he joked, before sharing, “I read for a couple of things in LA a week or so ago and it looks like I may try a little bit of it out show. I mean, it is such a great time and obviously you saw Lainey [Wilson] with Yellowstone and how great that was for her.”
He went on to say that he feels like this experience outside of music would be something that he would enjoy dipping his toes into, especially with the recent uptick in country stars being tapped for on-screen roles.
“I think it’s kind of another challenge and certainly something that goes well with country music. I mean the Western lifestyle is showing up so much in all these shows and they’re getting all these country music artists to play on ’em and show up for cameos and even playing their music on ’em. So it’s a great time for that. I guess if I was ever going to do it now, it’d be a time,” he stated.
Riley Green also revealed he has “written a lot” over the last few weeks while getting ready to embark on his next headlining run. The Damn Country Music Tour will kick off on March 27 and make several stops throughout Canada before returning to the States on May 1 with a show in Athens, Georgia. The tour is set to run through August.
