Riley Green has been tapped as the newest brand ambassador for Gildan, the leading apparel brand known for producing quality, affordable basics from t-shirts to underwear.
Taking to social media to share the news, the official Gildan Instagram account showcased a series of photos in which Green was captured sporting the brand both on and off the stage.
The company’s caption read, “Our quality basics and Riley’s chart-topping tunes are a match made in country heaven – one that formed naturally long before this partnership. Together, we’re a perfect harmony of comfort, quality, and values.”
Announced On National Underwear Day
In honor of National Underwear Day, the new partnership began on August 5, 2023, and featured an advertisement video that highlighted the country star’s fit physique.
Throughout the hilarious clip, Green was seen hitting the gym and showing off his rigorous workout routine while sporting a black pair of Gildan boxer briefs. Aside from training for his time on stage, Green was putting in a bit of extra effort as he prepared for what he believed to be a modeling gig with the brand. However, after one whole month of training, he appeared at the photo shoot only to learn that he wasn’t needed as a model. Instead, the country singer was told to stand by some bales of hay and hold onto his acoustic guitar while the “real” models were positioned in front of him.
At the very end of the video, Green joked, “are you sure you don’t need me to take my shirt off?”

“Whether it is a packed show, a challenging workout or a busy day on the farm, Gildan keeps me comfortable no matter what I am doing,” Green shared via press release. “Life gets busy and a little hectic at times and partnering with Gildan to keep me comfortable is just a smart choice for me.”
Chuck Ward, President of Sales, Marketing and Distribution at Gildan added that the company is proud to have Green as the new representative of the clothing brand.
“We are pleased to welcome Riley Green as our brand ambassador for National Underwear Day and are thrilled that he has chosen to wear our products on tour, on and off the stage, and through life’s essential moments,” said Ward. “Live music is a passion for many of our customers, and it provides us a unique and memorable opportunity to connect with fans across the U.S.”
This partnership will find Riley sporting Gildan t-shirts, underwear and socks while on stage, working out, relaxing backstage and at home with family through video and social content. In addition, Gildan offered a discount on Riley’s top product picks on Amazon on August 5 in honor of National Underwear Day.
The brand also revealed plans to host giveaways of men’s underwear packs on the official Gildan Instagram page.
Ahead of the official launch date, the country hitmaker teased the new underwear campaign during an interview with Bobby Bones on The Bobby Bones Show.
“I went to the studio, recorded a couple songs, did a photo shoot for a underwear brand,” Green told the award-winning iHeartRadio personality while discussing some of his latest endeavors.
Although the Alabama native didn’t have many details to share at the time, he teased that he would be posing in underwear and joked, “We’re for sale.”
Amy Brown, co-host of The Bobby Bones Show, then inquired about his comfort level while shooting a campaign like this.
“Well, I mean, they had me doing a lot of different things,” Green revealed. “I wasn’t really in my underwear the whole day, they got t-shirts and socks to make other stuff.”
“But it’s, yeah, it’s different. It wasn’t really something I was expecting to be doing with my life at 34,” he added.
On Tour
Riley Green recently wrapped up his time on the road with Luke Combs in support of his 2023 World Tour. Each night of the tour, the pair of hitmakers joined forces to perform, “Does To Me,” a track that originally features Combs with Eric Church.
The U.S. leg of the trek came to an end on July 29 in Philadelphia, PA at Lincoln Financial Field.
Additionally, Green is slated to appear at a number of fairs and festivals throughout the summer, including Voices of American Country Music Fest, Boots and Hearts 2023, Bulls, Bands and Barrels and more.
