Russell Dickerson has teamed up with the pop sibling band, the Jonas Brothers for a fresh version of his fan-favorite single, “Happen To Me.”
Fans saw the artists first come together just a few months ago when Dickerson joined the band as a special guest during their tour stop in Detroit, MI on August 28. There, they debuted the live version of their just-released collaboration, making it a night to remember for both of their fanbases.

The original version of “Happen To Me” already serves as the perfect party anthem, but the addition of the Jonas Brothers’ signature pop vocals the tune is taken to the next level. With their captivating harmonies intertwining with Dickerson’s country-pop storytelling, the latest rendition has evolved into a vibrant reminder of the joy found in life’s unexpected moments.
Written by Dickerson, Chase McGill, Jessie Jo Dillon and Chris LaCorte, “Happen To Me” paints the picture of a care-free night out between a couple of strangers. Once they meet, the two find themselves admitting that they are looking for nothing but a way to cure heartache with some no-strings-attached fun.
“And now she’s singin’/ Girls Just Wanna Have Fun/ at the top of her lungs/ Don’t even know she’s ’bout to wreck someone/ And, boy’s, I’m in trouble now, ain’t even tryna get out/ So, come on, baby, take me down, down, down, yeah/ Don’t know what happened tonight/ don’t know what happened last week/ Don’t know what happened to her, but she’s ’bout to happеn to me,” Dickerson and the “Waffle House” singers deliver on the upbeat chorus.
The chart-topping anthem saw success right out of the gate. Back in March, the song earned millions of views across social media and was sent straight to country radio with 66 total station adds on March 10, and became Dickerson’s biggest streaming debut week yet.
Since then, it has continued to dominate airwaves across Country Aircheck/MediaBase, the Billboard Country Charts, SiriusXM’s The Highway, and Canada and UK Country Radio charts.
Additionally, it’s streams have surpassed 235 million and it claimed an RIAA Platinum certification. Now breaking into pop formats, “Happen To Me” has notched No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and continues to climb, reaching No. 13 on Hot AC and No. 25 on Top 40.

“Happen To Me” appears on Russell Dickerson’s fourth studio album, FAMOUS BACK HOME, alongside standouts like “Bones” and the clever nods to country classics like “Dust” and “Heard It In A Country Song.”
Plus, the project also spawned his latest single, “Worth Your Wild” which just earned a record-breaking first-week streaming numbers, officially impacted country radio this week as one of the most-added songs.
Fans can find Russell Dickerson on round three of his RUSSELLMANIA TOUR with stops at hit arenas and amphitheaters nationwide. More dates are expected to be announced soon.
