The fan-favorite track finds the superstar crooning over an ex. Constantly being reminded of her no matter where he goes, he admits he finds her “Hard To Forget.”

After running into her “sister at work” and her “mama at church,” the Georgia native is finding hit hard to shake her memory.

“You’ve got a cold heart and the cold-hard truth / I got a bottle of whiskey, but I’ve got no proof / That you showed up tonight in that dress just to mess with my head,” Hunt sings throughout the chorus. “So much for so long, outta sight, outta mind / Girl, you’re lookin’ so good, it’s drivin’ me outta mine / Aw, you’re breaking my heart / Baby, you’re playing hard to forget.”

“Hard To Forget” was co-written by Hunt along with Luke Laird, Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne, Ashley Gorley, Audrey Grisham, Russ Hull and Mary Jean Shurtz. The song follows Hunt’s latest chart-topper, “Kinfolks,” and is featured on his new album, Southside.

Hunt was set to embark on The Southside Summer Tour 2020 with special guests Kip Moore, Travis Denning, ERNEST and a DJ set by Brandi Cyrus, however, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the tour. Hunt is embracing his time off the road to work on new music.

“I was really looking forward to touring this summer. I hate that we had to cancel everything. Big thanks to @kipmooremusic , @travisrdenning@ernest@Brandicyrus@ajrapsofficial, and everybody who planned on coming to see us,” Hunt shared on Instagram on Thursday. “We’ll be back in action in 2021 and can’t wait to get back out. In the meantime, I’m going to try to get some new music together for next year.”

Southside is available to stream and purchase now.
