Luke Combs and his wife Nicole are preparing to welcome their first child, a baby boy, later this month.
The couple celebrated their soon-to-be firstborn’s arrival with a “cutie” themed baby shower, complete with custom cookies, stunning florals, and a custom onesie painting.
On Thursday evening (June 2), Nicole took to social media to share photos from the baby shower, which was planned by her sister, Jenna Hocking.
“Baby Combs shower! 🍊thank you to everyone that came and made this day so special. Major shout out to auntie @jennahocking for planning this whole day so perfectly! more pics to come 🧡”
In addition to sharing several photos of the gorgeous details of the baby shower, Nicole also included two photos alongside her husband.
Nicole’s sister Jenna also shared a glimpse inside the mandarin orange-themed shower, which took place in Nashville.
“Showered the mama to be with allll the love, can’t wait to meet the little cutie on the way 🤍🍊,” Jenna wrote.
During a recent Instagram Q&A, Nicole revealed that she is due later “this month.” She also offered a bit of insight into their son’s name, which they have yet to reveal.
“It’s a family name but also pretty unique I think,” Nicole shared. “Picking a boy name was EXTREMELY difficult for us lol.”
Fans shouldn’t expect to see too much of baby Combs when he arrives as Nicole said she and Luke plan to keep his identity protected, at least at first.
“We will lean more to be more on the private side I’m already protective of him & I get super aggressive and weird messages about him already which stresses me out,” Nicole wrote “It makes me kind of sad be of course I’m going to want to share him with everyone. Who knows, things may change later on.”
Luke and Nicole revealed that they were expecting in late January.
“Here we go y’all! Lil dude Combs is coming this Spring!” Combs captioned a photo of him and his wife holding a sonogram. “Couldn’t be more excited to start a family with this babe. It’s gonna be a hell of a ride @nicolejcombs.”
Combs’ Instagram post was flooded with congratulatory messages from the country music community.
Additionally, the country hitmaker is gearing up to release his third studio album, Growin’ Up, which will feature a duet with Miranda Lambert and be released on June 24.
The North Carolina native will soon celebrate eight of his No.1 singles when BMI hosts the biggest No.1 party ever in his honor. Taking place on June 8 at the BMI Paring Lot in Nashville, the event will celebrate eight No.1s and 11 hit songwriters.
The reigning CMA Entertainer Of The Year will also take the take at CMA Fest next week on Saturday, June 11.
