“The name of the show is Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas,” the country music icon shares. “NBC wanted a special and I wanted to give ‘em one. I said, ‘Let’s do this at Dollywood because we’ve got the best singers, we’ve got the best bands, we’ve got the best dancers.”

“It’s the story of the behind-the-scenes of the making of a network special. It’s like a show within a show, a movie within a movie.” she explains. “It’s like really showing what can go wrong and what will go wrong. There’s so much drama and so much craziness.”

After introducing special guests Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jimmie Allen, Zach Williams, and Miley Cyrus, Parton shares that the film is a true celebration of Christmas.
