SmithField is heating things up with the release of their brand new single, “Something Sexy.”

The seductive single finds the duo‘s Jennifer Fielder and Trey Smith tipping their hats to iconic country love songs by namechecking songs from Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Lonestar and more.

Fielder and Smith penned the song alongside Adam Wood, who co-produced with Derek Wells. The clever lyrics will have listeners adding “Something Sexy” to their playlists instantly.

“And put on something sexy/ Little Tim and Faith, bout to make love all night long/ Come on baby let me/ Take you to church, get to work, love you like a wrecking ball/ I melt, I swear, baby I’m amazed by you, wanna lay by you/ Like it’s Raining on Sunday/ Let’s leave our clothes on the floor babe/ And put on something sexy,” they sing on the mesmerizing chorus.

“Country music has produced some of the most iconic love songs, and ‘Something Sexy’ is a nod to several of our favorites by some of the genre’s greatest artists,” shares SmithField. “The idea was born from us sitting down one day with our co-writer and saying, ‘We need to write something sexy today.’ It was a spur of the moment conversation that turned into a song we are so proud and excited to release as our next single!”

“Something Sexy” follows the release of SmithField’s “Sunday Best” and will appear on their forthcoming EP.
