Ashley McBryde just released the music video for her latest single and the plotline features a major twist!

The cinematic clip features McBryde in the role of a roadside motel clerk. As she works the front desk, she sees a familiar face pull up to check in to the motel with an unfamiliar woman. After handing over the key to a motel room, McBryde phones a friend and tells her, “It’s your dad. He’s about to make a mistake.”

McBryde’s friend soon appears at the hotel and bursts into the motel room to find her father in bed with what appears to be a call girl. Her dad jets out of the room wearing only his underwear. As the door closes, a bright light flashes through the window leaving viewers to assume the worst. The call girl ends up in a body bag and McBryde rushes out of the motel office to assist her friend in loading the body bag into the trunk.

Watch the drama unfold in the clip above.

“One Night Standards” is the lead single from McBryde’s much-anticipated and yet-to-be-announced sophomore album. The CMA New Artist of the Year wrote the expertly-crafted song alongside Nicolette Hayford and Shane McAnally. The track was produced by Jay Joyce.

Ashley McBryde will kick off 2020 with a bang, launching her headlining One Night Standards Tour on January 30. Click HERE to see if she’s coming to a city near you.
