Dwight Yoakam is a first-time father!
The legendary country singer, 63, welcomed his first child, a son, with his wife, Emily Joyce, 36.
Yoakam’s team shared the news on Instagram on Friday evening (Aug. 21), writing, “Like the lyric from the song Waterfall that Dwight wrote for Emily on his 3 Pears album says…Babies get born even in a…Pandemic lock down…With great joy and happiness Dwight & Emily announce the birth this past Sunday of their new baby boy.”
Dalton Loren Yoakam was born Sunday, August 16 at 9:19 am.
Dwight and Emily wed at the St Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica, California in March 2020 after dating for 10 years. They announced their nuptials in May in a statement to media and revealed that they had been engaged for several years out of the public eye.
This is Yoakam‘s first marriage.
