It’s been quite an eventful year for Gary Allan!
Months after releasing Ruthless, his first studio album since 2013, the singer/songwriter popped the question to his longtime love and she said “YES!”
The country hitmaker took to social media to share the exciting engagement news. Allan made the announcement on Tuesday evening (Dec. 7) with a series of beautiful photos capturing the engagement.
Allan and his soon-to-be bride are seen in a wooded area that is dimly lit by string lights and a chandelier. Allan is down on one knee and there’s even a photo showing him gently placing the engagement ring on her hand.
The stunning photos truly capture the love and excitement of the couple as they celebrate the monumental moment of their relationship with a champagne toast.
Fans flocked to the post to share their congratulatory wishes for the couple.
“You deserve every happiness this world can give you. So happy for you both,” one fan wrote, while another shared, “His smile says it all!! Happy happily ever after y’all!!”
Update: According to People, Allan popped the question at Nashville’s Cheekwood Estate and Gardens. Molly Martin is his fiancée and he designed the engagement ring, which features a pear-shaped diamond, himself.
This will be Allan’s fourth marriage. He was previously married to Tracy Taylor in 1987, Danette Day between 1998 and 1999 and Angela Herzberg in 2001. Herzberg later died by suicide in 2004.
Gary Allan made headlines earlier this year when he revealed that he moved into the former home of the late country legend Conway Twitty.
“I’ve lived next to this house since 2003 and I was renovating my house and I asked if I could tear some trees down in between our property, and they said ‘yeah, we’re moving to Florida, so we don’t care.’ I was like, ‘Wow! Are you going to sell it?’ And they said, ‘yeah,’ and I think I bought it within like three or four texts,” Allan shared earlier this year.
After completing some renovations, Allan now calls Twitty’s former home his own.
“We did a lot to the inside. I left some things that were Conway’s originally. I left the patio just like it was, and his widow that came over gave me a tour book that was shot in there,” he said. “He used to have fan club parties at his house and he would go in the back and flip burgers for everybody.”
Allan’s next scheduled tour date is planned for December 30 at Hard Rock Live in West Tulsa, OK. Click HERE to see if he’s coming to a city near you in the coming months.
