For the first time in nearly three years, Taylor Swift is sending a single to country radio.

Her new single “Betty” is officially set to impact country radio on Monday, August 17 via her new label home, Republic Records with MCA Nashville serving as the supporting label.

Swift last released the song “New Year’s Day,” a track from her album reputation, to country radio in 2017.

“Betty” was co-written by Swift alongside William Bowery and appears on her eighth studio album, Folklore.

Country superstar Blake Shelton showcased his support of the song and Swift’s album via Twitter on Wednesday (July 29).

“Stream Cardigan? My god I’ve been listening to the album since Friday morning!!!! Non stop!!!” said Blake Shelton.

He then followed up on that Tweet and revealed that his favorite track on the record is “Betty.”

By the way to those asking.. I like Betty the best off Folklore.. 3 reasons. It’s pretty country, it’s my dogs name. AND it drops the F bomb. Triple threat..” Shelton explained.

Swift surprised fans with the release of her 16-track project, Folklore, on July 24, only announcing the album release one day prior. The album has already become the best-selling album of 2020, moving more than 500,000 units in just three days.
