The Voice winner Todd Tilghman recently shared some exciting news with his fans via Facebook Live.
Live from the front porch exhibit at the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience (The MAX) in Meridian, Mississippi on Friday (June 12), the father of eight revealed that he has signed on for a month-long concert residency at The Theatre Of The Stars (formerly known as the Memories Theater) in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Tilghman will take the stage at the theatre every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening throughout the month.
“So very many of you have asked about concerts and live shows and so what I am here to tell you is that I have been talking with some people, actually some friends of mine and then some people I just met in this process, and those are happening and this is how those are going to happen,” he explained. “The tickets are on sale right now and we’re going to post the link here on Todd Tilghman. This is how this is going to happen, in Pigeon Forge Tennessee, one of the places that I love the most, the great smoky mountains, at The Theatre Of The Stars, formerly known as Memories Theater, I will have a show.”
Tilghman shared that for now, the shows are planned throughout the month of July, but teased that there’s a possibility that additional live shows would be added.
“I’ll be singing a lot of my favorite songs, a lot of songs that you guys love from my time on The Voice, and then a lot of just songs that are favorites of my own, songs that are important to me and songs that move me and songs that are fun to sing,” he added. “I just want us to spend time together and have a good time and that’s what we’re gonna do.”
With the majority of live shows off the table due to the novel coronavirus, Tilghman assured fans that the venue would be taking all of the necessary precautions to try to keep fans safe.
“The guidelines are all in place, don’t worry, I know all of you have all these COVID questions, chill, the people that are in charge of the theater have all of that and the theater will be handling all of that and they will be strictly following the guidelines that they have there in Tennessee as well as in that city,” he said.
During the live stream, he also shared that music is on the way, telling fans that an EP is “coming soon.”
“One way or another an album will come, at least an EP will come very soon as soon as we can possibly get it done,” he shared. “That will come.”
