Country hitmaker and Songwriters Hall of Fame member Toby Keith and his team took to social media to call out the “imposter profiles” circling around different social media platforms claiming to be Toby Keith himself.
On Monday night, Toby’s team shared a post to his Instagram account stating:
“We are aware of the many imposter profiles claiming to be Toby on social media, but it’s come to our attention that some of these accounts are now posting falsified updates regarding Toby’s health. We are working to get these removed. Any updates will come directly from Toby’s verified social media pages. As a reminder, Toby will never personally contact you or request money and you should report any accounts claiming otherwise.”
In addition, several screenshots were posted to Keith’s Instagram story outing these fake profiles.
Keith made headlines earlier this month when he shared his stomach cancer diagnosis with fans. The Oklahoma native wrote, “I’ve spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation, and surgery. So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax. I am looking forward to spending this time with my family. But I will see the dans sooner than later. I can’t wait.”
Toby Keith is married to his longtime love, Tricia, and they have three children: Shelley, Krystal, and Stelen.
Toby Keith’s post received thousands of comments, with fans and fellow artists wishing him a speedy recovery.
“Damn bro. Hate ur dealing with that, but if anybody can kick Cancer’s ass, it’s you. Prayin for ya big man,” Jason Aldean shared, while RaeLynn wrote, “Praying for a full healing in your body!!”
Keith previously had more than a dozen tour dates listed on his website; All the dates have since been removed.

Prior to sharing the unfortunate news with fans, Toby Keith hosted the 18th Annual Toby Keith and Friends Golf Classic, raising more than $1,380,000 for OK Kids Korral, the cost-free home for families of children being at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center.
Since its inception, the event has raised more than $16 million for the organization. In 2021, Toby Keith released his 19th studio album, Peso In My Pocket. The project includes the fan-favorite track, “Old School,” as well as his brand-new radio single, “Oklahoma Breakdown.”
