Garth Brooks celebrated his 58th birthday on Friday (Feb. 7) and his wife, country songstress and Food Network star, Trisha Yearwood, made him a homemade German Chocolate Cake to celebrate.

Yearwood shared a photo of the decadent dessert on Instagram along with a sweet birthday message for her husband.

“Happy birthday to my best friend, love of my life @garthbrooks,” she wrote. “You make 58 look gooooood. I love you!”

Brooks and Yearwood wed in December of 2005 at a private ceremony at their home. They have gone on to become one of country music’s most beloved couples.

The secret to their marriage, according to Yearwood, is being together.

“When we got married we made a very conscious effort to be together and not apart,” she explained to Country Living. “We’ve both been married before and it doesn’t work when you’re not together. That’s kind of been the benchmark of our marriage that we try really hard not to be apart.”

Earlier this week, Brooks performed at the Six String in Foxborough, MA for his seventh Dive Bar concert. The intimate run of shows was announced last summer to coincide with his single, “Dive Bar,” with Blake Shelton.

Garth Brooks is in the midst of his massive stadium tour, which in 2019, was named the best-selling country tour of the year by Pollstar. His next scheduled show is set for February 22 in Detroit.
