Breakout artist Tucker Wetmore made his CMA Fest debut last week, showcasing his rising star power with multiple appearances and performances in Nashville throughout the weekend.

Wetmore, who recently inked a major label deal with UMG Nashville in partnership with Back Blocks Music, kicked off his CMA Fest journey with an acoustic performance on Thursday (June 6) at the UMG Nashville Takeover at Skydeck on Broadway.

On Friday, the Washington native graced the stage at SiriusXM The Highway’s Music Row Happy Hour live event at Margaritaville Nashville followed by an appearance at the CMA Close Up Stage inside Fan Fair X at Music City Center.

June 8 saw Wetmore starting his day at Spotify House at Ole Red and ending it with a memorable performance at the Hard Rock Stage. An estimated crowd of 7,000 packed into the 700-capacity area, with fans spilling into surrounding streets, parking lots, and rooftops to catch a glimpse of the future superstar in action.

This was quite a 180 from last year’s CMA Fest experience for Wetmore, who attended the festival as a fan in 2023.

“It’s wild to think that I was a fan wandering around Broadway this time last year at CMA Fest. Fast forward a year later, I’m performing at my very first one and everyone showed up and shut down Broadway,” he shared with Country Now. “It’s going to take a while to wrap my head around this weekend, but I’m just so grateful to the fans for making this ole boy’s dream come true. All glory to God.”

Wetmore’s career continues to skyrocket thanks to his recent releases, “Wine Into Whiskey,” “Wind Up Missin’ You” and “What Would You Do?” The latter is impacting country radio today, June 10 via EMI Records Nashville.

The singer/songwriter released the buzzed-about track “Already Had It” on Friday. This song will be featured on the exciting Twisters: The Album, which is the musical companion to the highly anticipated new Twisters movie, a current-day chapter of the 1996 film, Twister.  Twisters: The Album also features Wetmore on the song “Steal My Thunder” with Conner Smith.

Already off to an incredible start, Wetmore’s summer will continue with appearances at several festivals, including the Cowboys Music Festival in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the Country Boom Festival in West Salem, WI, and Tailgate N’ Tallboys in Midland, MI.

He’s also set to open for artists such as Billy Currington, Jason Aldean, Jordan Davis, and Chris Young in the coming weeks.

This fall, Tucker Wetmore will join country superstar Luke Bryan on his annual Farm Tour.
