Five-time GRAMMY winner Chris Stapleton will be profiled on Sunday evening’s 60 Minutes where he is set to give Sharyn Alfonsi a tour of Music City and welcome his wife, Morgane Stapleton, to talk about their life together.

The in-depth interview took place prior to Stapleton’s two-night run at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in early December.

The Kentucky native gave Alfonsi a tour around Nashville where he offered up a look inside his rehearsal space which houses special artifacts and awards from his career.

In a teaser clip shared by 60 Minutes ahead of the show, Stapleton discussed songwriting and revealed how he knows when he’s written a hit.

“I don’t think I ever know (if I wrote a song well),” he admits. “The win is finishing the song. There are a lot of songwriters that claim, ‘Yeah, I knew the instant we wrote this that it was a six-week No. 1, and I was going to get a big, giant check in the mail.’ I really just think those guys are full of shit. I don’t think anybody knows that.”

“You can’t possibly know how everybody is going to feel about a song that you write,” he adds. “That’s impossible to know. You have to take it to the people. I trust people. And I trust people who have taste.”

Stapleton’s wife and bandmate, Morgane, will also appear to discuss their life together and what it’s like making country music as a married couple.

Fans can tune in to watch Chris Stapleton on 60 Minutes (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/7:00-8:00 PM, PT) this Sunday, Jan. 16, on CBS.
