Tyler Hubbard’s No. 1 smash “5 Foot 9” marked his first single as a debut artist since parting ways with the country music duo, Florida Georgia Line. Throughout the year, he has released several more tracks including his next single, “Dancin’ In The Country.”
This upbeat party jam was co-written by Hubbard alongside Keith Urban, Ross Copperman and Jon Nite, and inspired by the regular dance parties he has with his wife, Hayley and their three kids, Atlas, Luca and Olivia.
“’Dancin’ In The Country’ is just a really fun, uptempo country song that I’m super excited to play live,” he shared. “I was fortunate enough to get to write this with Ross Copperman, Jon Nite and Keith Urban, who’s just incredible as a writer and a guitarist, and he and Ross Copperman really helped capture the feel and emotion of this song sonically and also me and Jon Nite really tried to dial in the lyrics and they were also very helpful with that.”
Because of its unique melody and authentic lyrics, the song “sounds like nothing else on the project,” Hubbard said in reference to his upcoming debut album which is due out on January 27th.
“Me and the three kids and my wife we go in the playroom, turn the party lights on just about every night and have a dance party,” he continued, describing their fun nightly routine that inspired the song. “So, this is one of those songs that always worked in the dance parties and feels like something that’ll be really fun to take on tour and play live and hopefully get the crowd moving the way the kids do during the dance parties. So, ‘Dancin’ In The Country’ is just a fun one.”
When announcing the news of his next project on social media, the “Everybody Needs A Bar” singer shared his enthusiasm as he approaches the next chapter of his solo career.
“I couldn’t be more excited to let you know that my debut solo album will be available January 27th and you can pre-order it now. For me to be releasing my first album as a solo artist, it means everything. I feel really proud of this music and how special it is to have the opportunity to share my personal story,” he said honestly. “Hopefully it makes you want to come to a show and hang out because most of these songs were created to play live. I can’t wait for you to hear it, I hope y’all get to know me on a deeper level, and I’m so grateful to have you all with me on this incredible journey.”
In the last few months, the country singer has spent his time reinventing himself as a country music artist without having Brian Kelley by his side. In addition to the new set of music he has put forth, Hubbard also reached a milestone when he made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry as a solo artist.
Tyler Hubbard recently wrapped up his time on the road as an opener on Keith Urban’s The Speed of Now Tour. While he has yet to announce any tour dates, he is scheduled to perform at the Boots In The Park festive in March in Bakersfield, CA.
