Walker Hayes recently took a break from his busy summer of touring and promoting his emotional new single, “Don’t Let Her,” to sit down with us for an episode of the Country Now Pupdate.

While seated on the floor surrounded by four adorable puppies from Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, a local nonprofit foster home-based rescue, Hayes revealed a number of interesting facts about himself, including his favorite pizza toppings, his most prized possession, how he stays in touch with his family when he’s on the road and much more.

Watch the clip above to catch Walker Hayes on the Country Now Pupdate.

Be sure to check out Hayes’ latest single, “Don’t Let Her.”

Written by the talented singer/songwriter alongside Andrew DeRoberts and Shane McAnally, “Don’t Let Her” is a sweet, yet devastating song that details a conversation between Hayes and a fictional man who might end up with his wife Laney if something were to ever happen to him.

“She don’t give two cents about money / Likes a little coffee in her honey / Let sleep late as she wants / Home is her favorite restaurant / Don’t you dare come home if you’re hammered / Better watch your mouth and your grammar / She loves babies, hates glitter / You better shave before you kiss her,” he sings throughout the chorus, which closes with the heartbreaking line – “And if she ever misses me / Please don’t let her.”

“Don’t Let Her” is available everywhere now.
