Walker Hayes; ‘Don’t Let Her’ Music Video

Walker Hayes gives fans a glimpse into his life at home with his wife and six children in his brand new music video for his latest single, “Don’t Let Her.”

The clip showcases a typical day at Hayes’ house, including a chaotic breakfast with the entire family and highlights what it’s like at home with six kids. His longtime relationship with his wife, Laney, is also put on full display throughout the entire clip, which is fitting since she was the inspiration behind the beautiful, yet heartbreaking, tune.

“This video is the rawest thing I have ever put out,” Hayes shared following the release of the clip. “No makeup, no lights, no production, no storyline – just a camera filming a day at our house. I’m so grateful to share this piece of my life with you guys.”

Written by Hayes alongside Andrew DeRoberts and Shane McAnally, “Don’t Let Her” is a sweet, yet devastating song that details a conversation between Hayes and a fictional man who might end up with his wife Laney if something were to ever happen to him.

“She don’t give two cents about money / Likes a little coffee in her honey / Let sleep late as she wants / Home is her favorite restaurant / Don’t you dare come home if you’re hammered / Better watch your mouth and your grammar / She loves babies, hates glitter / You better shave before you kiss her,” he sings throughout the chorus, which closes with the heartbreaking line – “And if she ever misses me / Please don’t let her.”
