George Strait with 96 Year Old Fan

George Strait recently gave one of his biggest fans a birthday to remember.

In a video posted to Facebook on Saturday (Feb. 1), the “King of Country Music” can be seen at a special meet and greet with an adoring fan, who is celebrating her 96th birthday. Strait walks into the room flashing his signature smile and approaches her wheelchair asking, “Are you the birthday girl?”

People in the room begin to cheer as Strait wishes her a “Happy Birthday.”

As he shakes her hand, someone else in the room tells Strait that it’s her 96th birthday, to which Strait responds, “That’s awesome!”

Cutting right to the chase, the birthday girl has one request for the superstar: “I want a kiss.”

Without skipping a beat, the Texas native leans over and plants one right on her cheek as everyone else in the room laughs and cheers.

“We bumped hats,” he laughs after granting her wish.

Watch the adorable interaction in the clip below.

George Strait, who recently earned his 100th entry on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, has 60 No.1 singles to his name and is the only artist in history to have a Top 10 hit every year for over three decades. He has only a handful of tour dates planned for 2020, including a massive stadium show in at Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium on Aug. 22 with special guests Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town.
