Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton The Voice Finale

Country superstar Blake Shelton and his Grammy-award winning girlfriend Gwen Stefani performed their hit duet “Nobody But You” on Tuesday evening (May 19) during the two-hour season 18 finale of The Voice.

Stefani and Shelton dedicated their performance to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and live-streamed their performance to food bank volunteers, who watched and sang along, while also practicing social distancing. The performance was filmed at Shelton’s Ole Red Tishomingo.

“I wanted to say very quickly, thank you to all the Oklahoma regional food banks, frontline workers, thanks to all the food bank workers across this country,” Shelton shared prior to the couple’s performance. “You’re out there, you’re taking care of people, and we love you for it. Be sure, if you’re watching this, donate to your local food bank.”

“Nobody But You” is Shelton’s latest single and third release from his new album, Fully Loaded: God’s Country. Shelton first heard the song after songwriter Shane McAnally, who co-wrote the tune alongside Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne and Tommy Lee James, pitched it to him while he was on set in Los Angeles.

“I was at The Voice compound and Shane McAnally is on Songland, so they were there doing some cross-promotion. Shane came to my trailer and said, ‘Man, I got a song for you,’” Shelton previously explained. “I knew he had Gwen’s number from a write, so I told him to send it to her as I was being called to set. I actually got the song twice because my producer Scott Hendricks emailed it to me right after.”

“Then one day I was driving with Gwen and I said, ‘Hey let’s listen to that song from Shane, because Scott sent it to me too – it must be pretty incredible.’ When I heard it, I was just floored,” Shelton continued to recall. “I realized how important that song was for me and where I am in my life right now. I just think it’s magical. I literally think it’s important of a song as I’ve ever recorded.”

“Nobody But You” marked Shelton’s 27th career No. 1 country single and is Stefani’s first-ever No.1 country single.

This performance comes just days after Stefani made her Opry debut with a performance of “Nobody But You” during the 4,923rd consecutive Saturday Night performance.
