Ella Langley made one seven-year-old’s first concert experience one to remember when she invited the young girl on stage to sing “You Look Like You Love Me,” alongside her duet partner, Riley Green.
The once-in-a-lifetime moment came about after Cecilia’s mom, Ally Maxwell, shared a TikTok of her daughter passionately belting out the fan-favorite duet. She claims “You Look Like You Love Me” is a song that’s constantly “on repeat” in their household and Cecilia now knows every word.
The video quickly gained traction and even caught Langley’s attention, as she commented saying she was “obsessed” with the young girl.

With Cecilia’s birthday coming up, Ally made it her mission to get a special shoutout from Ella Langley. But what she got instead was so much better. Thanks to Langley’s team, Cecilia got the chance to celebrate her birthday at Riley Green’s stop at the Marshall Health Network Arena in Huntington, WV, where Langley was serving as direct support.
This night proved to be unforgettable for the family. Things kicked off with a special backstage meet-and-greet coordinated by Langley’s team. Ally admitted this was an extremely tough secret to keep from Cecilia until the moment it was finally happening.
“Honestly, if you’ve ever been around little kids, you know you can’t tell them something exciting too soon or they’ll explode with anticipation. Plus, I truly didn’t think it was actually going to happen—I thought I was being punked! So to avoid any disappointment, I kept it quiet. Only a few people knew,” she shared. “When Ella’s sidekick came to meet us, I told her, ‘Hang on a sec, she doesn’t even know she’s going backstage yet.’”

In a video recapping the entire night, Cecilia is seen running into Langley’s arms backstage in an incredibly touching moment. But the surprises didn’t end there because as Ally explained, Langley did something completely unexpected when she asked the young fan, “Would you like to come on stage and sing this song with me?”
“It was a complete surprise for all of us,” said Ally.
After meeting Langley and enjoying their front-row seats, the time had finally come for Cecilia to make her way onto the stage. In a video shared on Langley’s Instagram page, Cecilia can be seen confidently belting out every note of the tune while standing in between the country stars and soaking up every second of her moment in front of the large crowd.

This performance was special not only for Cecilia and her family, but also for the duet partners as it marked the one year anniversary of “You Look Like You Love Me.”
When asked if the little girl was nervous about her on-stage performance, her mom said, “Not even a little bit. After Ella’s set, she kept asking, ‘When is Riley Green going to get off the stage so I can sing?’ She was more than ready. She loves being the center of attention and hosts many concerts at home, so this was right up her alley.”

The concert was Ally’s gift to her daughter as part of her decision to choose experiences over material presents. This was a fitting gift seeing as how much Cecilia loves music, however her mom never imagined it would turn into “the perfect birthday celebration.”
“It was a smaller venue, and I was lucky enough to get close tickets—never in a million years did I imagine we’d end up with pit passes from Ella, Riley, and their team. It turned into something truly unforgettable.”

Overall, Ally can confidently say that this was a “dream come true” experience and will be extremely hard to top for future concerts. She joked that while Cecilia is a die-hard Ella Langley fan, she hasn’t quite caught the Riley Green bug.
“My four nieces were at the concert too, along with one of their boyfriends, my sister-in-law, and my brother. All of the girls were absolutely losing it over how close Cecilia got to him. Her review? ‘He was stinky and sweaty.’ I’m pretty sure out of the 7,500 people there, she was the only girl who thought that.”

The day after the concert, Ally sent a heartfelt thank you to Langley and her team for making her daughter’s seventh birthday so special.
“Ella is the real deal. She and her crew are genuine, kind, down-to-earth people. You could see it in the way she interacted with my daughter—and with all of us. Watching her cheer Cecilia on from the stage just like I was in the crowd meant everything. We’ll absolutely be back to see her again!”
