Joe Nichols, Wife and Daughters

GRAMMY-nominated Quartz Hill Records artist Joe Nichols just released the official music video for his newest track, “Home Run.”

Directed by David “Doc” Abbott, the video features some of Nashville’s most memorable spots, including the Music City Baseball field, and follows a typical day on the road for Nichols. The multi-platinum singer receives a warm welcome from his wife Heather and daughters Dylan (9) and Georgia (7) as he returns home from the busy life of touring.

“This video really captures the lyrics of the song, those moments of me working and out on the road and getting to come home,” Nichols shared. “I love that my family is in it. I loved having my wife and my kids, my mom, and my sister in it.  That’s what I really miss when I’m out on the road.  It’s the first time my wife, Heather has been in one of my videos so that was a lot of fun.”

Written by award-winning songwriters Ashley Gorley, Dallas Davidson and Ross Copperman, “Home Run” is Nichols’ first new release since his 2018 EP, Never Gets Old: Traditional Country Series as well as the singer’s first drop since reconnecting with old friend and label head Benny Brown.

The premiere of his official music video follows the big announcement of Nichols’ highly-anticipated tenth studio album, Good Day For Living, set to release on February 11, 2022. The 13-song project acts as the 21st century traditionalist’s inaugural album with new label and is described as a work that encompasses “a new era of classic-influenced country music,” according to a press release.

Fans can look forward to some of Nichols’ best work as he reunited with producers Mickey Jack Cones and Derek George, who produced the singer’s albums Crickets and Never Gets Old, to create this new body of work.
