Kelly Clarkson just slayed this cover Jason Aldean’s 2008 hit “She’s Country.”
The superstar covered the fan-favorite Aldean tune as part of her on-going “Kellyoke” segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Joined by her band and a backup singer, Clarkson put her down-home Texas spin on the country-rock anthem and left fans begging for more.
In fact, the video’s comment section was flooded with people begging her to release a country album.
“Girl go ahead release a country album pretty soon,” one fan wrote. “I freaking love this. Keep raising the bar girl…this is THE AMERICAN IDOL that we love and adore.”
Another fan promised to be the first in line to purchase her country album, while someone else assured that Clarkson would sweep all of the country music awards shows if she ever decided to try her hand at the genre.

Clarkson and Aldean have history together as they previously collaborated on the multi-week No.1 single “Don’t You Wanna Stay” in 2010. The song was a massive hit and took home the title of CMA Musial Event of the Year. It was also nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 54th Grammy Awards.
Previous “Kellyoke” segments have featured covers of Travis Tritt, Rascal Flatts, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood and Kelsea Ballerini.
