Kenny Chesney surprised fans at Nashville’s Exit/In on Monday evening (June 21) with a pop up appearance at a Jimmy Buffett show.
Buffett, who performed at the iconic venue alongside his collaborator and famed songwriter Mac McAnally, invited the country superstar to join him on stage for a performance of his signature hit, “Margaritaville.”
Chesney shared a clip of the performance on Instagram on Tuesday morning, writing, “Always a blast being on stage with my friends Jimmy Buffett, Mac McAnally, and the rest of the Coral Reefer Band. Thanks for the invite Jimmy.”

Chesney and McAnally, a 10-time CMA Musician of the Year, are also frequent collaborators. The pair joined forces on the chart-topping hit, “Down the Road,” in 2008.
Chesney’s surprise appearance comes just days after the announcement of his much-anticipated Here And Now 2022 Stadium Tour. The 19-date tour is set to kick off on April 23 in Tampa, Florida.
