Kenny Chesney surprised fans at Nashville’s Exit/In on Monday evening (June 21) with a pop up appearance at a Jimmy Buffett show.
Buffett, who performed at the iconic venue alongside his collaborator and famed songwriter Mac McAnally, invited the country superstar to join him on stage for a performance of his signature hit, “Margaritaville.”
Chesney shared a clip of the performance on Instagram on Tuesday morning, writing, “Always a blast being on stage with my friends Jimmy Buffett, Mac McAnally, and the rest of the Coral Reefer Band. Thanks for the invite Jimmy.”

Chesney and McAnally, a 10-time CMA Musician of the Year, are also frequent collaborators. The pair joined forces on the chart-topping hit, “Down the Road,” in 2008.
Chesney’s surprise appearance comes just days after the announcement of his much-anticipated Here And Now 2022 Stadium Tour. The 19-date tour is set to kick off on April 23 in Tampa, Florida.

Over the course of her career, she has had the privilege of conducting interviews with some of the industry’s most prominent stars, including Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, and many others. Lauren Jo Black is a longtime member of the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music.
