Breakout country star Walker Hayes made his American Music Awards (AMAs) performance debut with his chart-topping single “Fancy Like” on Sunday, November 21.

Backed by his band, Hayes brought the party to the AMAs stage with his performance of the AMA Favorite Country Song nominated track.

Hayes had a full-on “Fancy Like” dance part on stage with backup dancers and even included his wife, Laney, in the performance as he left the stage to join her in the audience while singing.

He later took to social media to share that grooving with Laney was his “favorite part” of his American Music Awards performance.

The performance comes days after the hitmaker shared his latest single, “AA,” and announced his forthcoming new project, Country Stuff The Album.

The new project will be uniquely Hayes, and share a range of emotion from nostalgia and pain to joy and good old fashion fun.

“I’ve been waiting so long to put out a project like this,” Hayes said. “It has everything I love from the fun of ‘Fancy Like’ to the more personal lyrics in ‘AA.’ As an artist, it’s such a unique thing to be able to share all the different versions of you in a project, and that’s really what I tried to do here.”

Fans can pre-order Country Stuff The Album now, HERE.
