Jelly Roll and his wife of nearly 10 years, Bunnie Xo, are going through a divorce, according to reports from TMZ. While this news might be shocking to some fans, others picked up on subtle hints that the Dumb Blonde Podcast host has been dropping on social media for several weeks now.

The outlet reports that the country star filed for divorce in Tennessee in May, citing court records obtained by the publication. That same month is when Bunnie’s cryptic posts began circulating.

First, she started by reposting statements from other creators that suggested something was going on in her personal life, as they clearly expressed hurt and anger.

She reshared quotes like, “Women’s intuition when that shiii don’t add up” and “When that ego wears off someday, I hope you realize the way you handled sh** was emotionally immature, spiritually unaware, narcissistic and lowkey evil as f.”

Bunnie also shared a message from a content creator who said, “You did to me what I never would have done to you. I don’t want any type of friendship. I don’t feel safe having you know anything about me or having any association with me…we’re done there’s no go back, there’s no friendship, there’s nothing.”

Another read, “You gotta be a different type of evil when you know somebody love the fu** out of you and you still drag them through hill…”

In addition to the reposts, Bunnie began making her own somber posts soundtracked by songs like Goo Goo Dolls’ “Name” and Aerosmith’s “What it Takes” with the text “Wild hearts can’t be broken.”

Knowing what they do now, fans have gone back to these videos to comment on the fact that it seems Bunnie was trying to say what was happening without actually saying it.

“She left breadcrumbs, we just missed them” one fan wrote.

Another said, “All the sad songs are making sense now.”

Additionally, on May 28, Bunnie subtly revealed that she had a new home, while showcasing a new painting. However, at the time, users in the comment section did not seem to pick up on that detail of the post.

Just after breaking the news, TMZ shared another article stating movers were at the former couple’s Nashville area home. The photo shows a moving truck parked outside the property as items are loaded in.

Her last post with Jelly Roll on TikTok was shared on May 9 and featured a heartwarming clip of the couple alongside his daughter, Bailee Ann, with the text “Never believed in ever after happily ‘til y’all.” According to the court documents filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, Jell Roll states the couple broke up on May 9. He filed for divorce 9 days later.

Just hours before the shocking news went public, Bunnie took to Instagram to post a story in a pink lingerie set and wrote “She’s getting her sparkle back.” In a separate story, she shared the quote, “Come here, let me show you what love feels like.”

US weekly has since confirmed that Jelly Roll was not wearing his wedding ring during his most recent performance at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium as part of CMA Fest 2026. The last time the couple was seen together publicly was at the 2026 Grammy Awards in February.

The former lovebirds first met in 2015 at one of his concerts on Fremont Street in Las Vegas and went on to marry on August 31, 2016. In 2023, they returned to the Stained Glass Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas where they first said “I do” to renew their vows.

In her new book, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, Bunnie, wrote about their love story and even revealed that they had planned to expand their family. She had been documenting their journey of infidelity, which included finding a surrogate and and going through the process of IVF.

“Now that we’re finally stable financially and somewhat emotionally after all the healing we’ve done over this decade together, we’re talking about the future—including growing our family,” she wrote in the book. “J and I have a surrogate, the sweetest woman ever, and soon I’ll be starting my IVF stims.”

But there’s no denying that their relationship has had plenty of highs and lows, including infidelity. Back in October, when he appeared on the “Human School” podcast, Jelly Roll got candid about the fact that he was unfaithful to his wife. He also said at the time that he had put in the effort to mend his mistakes and as a result, had become “stronger than we could have ever been.”

Despite Bunnie Xo’s cryptic posts, neither she nor Jelly Roll have yet to publicly address the reported filing.
