When Lauren Alaina and Cam Arnold tied the knot on February 4, 2024 in Nashville, many of her fellow country star friends were on the guest list. However, her longtime friend, Kane Brown did not appear to be a part of the celebrations as he was taking care of a personal matter at the time.

“I did not [make it], and I feel like a crappy friend,” Brown admitted during a recent interview with Big D & Bubba, hosts of a nationally syndicated radio show.

Why Did Kane Brown Skip Lauren Alaina’s Wedding?

In a clip from the interview that surfaced on Instagram, Brown confirmed that he was invited, but was unable to attend due to the fact that he was undergoing a vasectomy procedure that happened to take place on the same day as Alaina’s nuptials.

“What happened was…. any of y’all been clipped?” he asked before adding, “That’s the reason I couldn’t go to [Lauren Alaina’s] wedding.”

The “Bury Me In Georgia” singer went on to say that the procedure was the most “awkward situation” he’s ever experienced.

“I was laying on my back, high as a kite, the nurse and the doctor just standing over me. I’m spread eagle, and they’re just talking about their day,” Brown recalled, earning a round of laughs from the hosts.

Their Friendship Remains Strong

Alaina later took to social media to ease some of her longtime friend’s guilt by letting him know that she forgives him for not making it to her big day.

“I forgive you @kanebrown and still love you 😂 You gotta do what you gotta do,” Alaina commented on the post.

How Did Kane Brown And Lauren Alaina Become Friends?

Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina go way back. They first met in choir class in the seventh grade at the ages of 13 and 12, respectively, at Lakeview Middle School in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. The pair have stayed close friends since that initial meeting in school and even went on to earn a No. 1 hit together with “What Ifs.”

Kane Brown and Wife Katelyn Are Done Having Children

The news of Brown’s recent vasectomy implies that he and his wife Katelyn Brown have decided that once they welcome their third child this year, their family will be complete.

On December 25, the couple announced they were expecting another baby. The post featured an adorable family photo, in which both the parents and their two daughters, Kingsley Rose, 4, and Kodi Jane, 2, are dressed in neutrals and snuggling up in front of their Christmas tree. Their first child Kingsley is seen sporting a huge smile while holding up an ultrasound photo of the new baby.

“Last Christmas of 4 🎄❤️,” the couple captioned the joint Instagram post, referring to the fact that they will soon be a family of five.

The following month they enlisted their daughters once again to help reveal the gender of their third baby. Together, they cut into a cake that read, “What Will Baby Bee?” and instantly began jumping for joy as they saw the blue coloring appear.

Gender Reveal – It’s A Boy

Kane and Katelyn followed up this announcement by sharing that they have agreed on what to name their baby boy. The Brown family has established a running theme in regard to their names as each family member has the initials KB and it appears they will be continuing the tradition with their next child.

“We’ve committed and can’t stop now,” Katelyn shared to her Instagram story.

On Wednesday (Jan. 17), she confirmed that they narrowed down their list of possible names and landed on one that they both feel will be best suited for their baby boy.

“A lot of people are asking us what the name is. We have a name picked out. We actually had a top list of our favorite three and as of right now, we have the name, unless, you know we still have some months to go, we hear a name that is undeniable and we want to change it, but I think we have the name,” she said in a video shared to Instagram stories.

Kane and Katelyn tied the knot at Mint Springs Farm in Nolensville, Tennessee on October 12, 2018. Kingsley Rose came into their lives on October 29, 2019, and Kodi Jane was born on December 30, 2021.
