Zac Brown, frontman of the country music group the Zac Brown Band, is officially off the market! On the morning of Friday, July, 25, PEOPLE exclusively shared the news, revealing that the country singer, 46, had popped the question to his girlfriend, Kendra Scott, 51, and she said yes.

The brand-new engagement photos that arrived alongside the announcement found the couple looking happy as can be in front of the romantic sunset. And of course, Kendra Scott made sure to show off her shiny pink diamond ring while snuggled up with her soon-to-be-husband.

“We are so happy and grateful that we found each other,” the couple told PEOPLE.

AMAs Hard Launch

Fans have only known about this connection between the country star and the jewelry designer for a few months now as they hard-launched their relationship on the red carpet of the American Music Awards in May. Brown was invited to attend the awards show in Las Vegas, where he was named the show’s first-ever Veterans’ Voice Awards.

This honor was created as a way to celebrate artists who have made a lasting impact in the lives of veterans and Brown has just that through the Zac Brown Band. Over the years, the group has been recognized for their support of veterans and the military. They have even made it a tradition to celebrate those who have served the country during each of their concerts.

Scott also attended the star-studded night in support of Brown’s achievement and later penned a social media post dedicated to the evening.

“What an unforgettable night at the @amas,” she wrote. “We danced, we laughed, and seeing Zac honored with the inaugural Veteran’s Voice Award was the highlight of it all.”

“@zacbrown, I’m so incredibly proud of you—of your heart, your service, and the man you are,” she added. “You couldn’t deserve this more.”

Brown and Scott were also photographed while attending fellow country artist Jamey Johnson’s wedding that same month.

The Couple’s Relationship HIstory

While to fans this engagement may have come fast, a source told people that they had already been dating for several months before making their red-carpet debut as a couple at the AMA’s.

“They were set up by a mutual friend, and are totally in love,” the source claimed. “They are head over heels and have become inseparable.”

Both members of the couple are parents, with eight children between them—ranging in age from 11 to 23—whom were welcomed through their previous marriages.

Kendra Scott shares two sons, Cade, 23, and Beck, 21, with her ex-husband John Scott, and one son, 11-year-old Grey, with her ex-husband Matt Davis. For Zac Brown, this new chapter comes less than two years after his highly publicized split from his second wife, Kelly Yazdi. The pair were married for only four months before announcing their divorce in 2023.

“We are in the process of divorce,” they said in a joint statement to Billboard at the time. “Our mutual respect for one another remains. We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together. As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time.”

Although they initially claimed their brief marriage ended on good terms, things later became more complicated. Brown, who shares five children – Justice, 18, Lucy, 17, Georgia, 16, Joni, 14, and Alexander, 11 – with ex-wife Shelly Brown, ended up filing an emergency restraining order demanding that Kelly remove an Instagram post he claimed was damaging to his reputation.

Yazdi has since made several follow-up videos going more in depth into the messy situation as a way to clarify her side of things. The two are now scheduled to go to trial before a jury in just a few months, meaning the divorce is still ongoing.

Aside from the details of his personal life, the frontman and the rest of the GRAMMY-winning group are gearing up to take the stage in Las Vegas for a just-announced residency at the Sphere.

“Bringing our new album Love & Fear to Sphere Las Vegas is a dream come true. It’s my masterpiece so far,” Brown wrote on Instagram of the band’s new album and upcoming shows. “This show is the story of my life that I have never shared, a journey through my imagination, music and stories that have defined who I am.”

Zac Brown Band will deliver the immersive show from Friday, December 5 through Saturday, January 10. Tickets are available now.
