Zach Top recently sent fans into a frenzy when his new girlfriend, Amelia Taylor, suddenly broke the news of their relationship on social media. The country star was silent at first, but he has now officially joined the conversation as the pair made their red carpet debut at the 58th CMA Awards on Wednesday. Nov. 20.
While there is not much information on Amelia or how she and Top began dating, it appears that they share a dog together and that she has been spending time on the road with him.
“Sweet Otis,” Taylor wrote on a TikTok video that featured several images of their pup. The first photo makes it seem as though the Washington native wasn’t all-in on the idea of getting a dog, but the following image makes it clear that Zach Top has since come to love the furry friend.
She noted, “He lied, he loves him.”
The rest of the post captures the puppy in various settings, many of which include on Top’s tour bus and out on the road. This news turned out to be pretty upsetting for his fans, who turned to the comment sections to mourn his singleness.
When Top first arose onto the country music scene, he was a married man to his ex-wife Kenzie and was seen sporting a wedding band up until earlier this year. This leads fans to believe that at some point, he got divorced but had yet to speak on it.
Making his red carpet appearance arm and arm with Amelia, Top sported a sleek black suit and matching cowboy hat while his lovely lady stunned in her elegant look featuring a long, silky black skirt with lace embroidery on top.
Zach Top is going into the 2024 CMA Awards as a first-time nominee in the New Artist of the Year category. He is vying for the win alongside fellow rising stars, Shaboozey, Nate Smith, Mitchell Tenpenny, Bailey Zimmerman, and the lone female of the group, Megan Moroney.
Top began seeing a major shift in his career at the start of 2024. He released his debut album, Cold Beer & Country Music, and has started racking up fan-favorites like his debut single, “Sounds Like The Radio,” “There’s The Sun,” “Use Me,” and the title track, “I Never Lie” unexpectedly became a highly anticipated moment in his live shows. He has also been on the road for his own headlining dates as well as serving as support on Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again Tour.
