“It was incredible to be part of such an important moment in their lives,” Carson shared on the TODAY show. “The best way to describe it is it was perfectly them — the whole weekend and the marriage itself. It was as elegant and refined and cool as Gwen is, and it was as country and down-home and fun as Blake is.”

Daly has known Stefani for over 25 years and Shelton has become a close friend of Daly’s since they first met on the set of The Voice.

Gwen Wore Two Different Custom Vera Wang Dresses

Both of Stefani’s elegant Vera Wang gowns were different styles.

The second dress, which Stefani wore to the reception, was described by the “Slow Clap” singer as her “party dress,” featuring a tulle mini skirt. The look was completed with white cowboy boots, which were designed by Le Silla.

Gwen’s Two Dresses Paid Tribute To Her Three Children

Stefani’s elegant Vera Wang gowns were different styles, but they each paid tribute to her three children, Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 7. The veil of her dresses included her children’s names as well as her and Blake’s name within the embroidered design.

Her reception dress included an embroidered pair of hand-sewn love birds, which symbolized the couple and three baby love birds, which represented Stefani’s children.

Their Wedding Cake Was Five Tiers and Had a Sentimental Meaning

The beautifully designed five tier wedding cake included swans, elegant designs, intricate piped white icing resembling a ruffled lace look, sugar flowers, chocolate cherubs and an arched cake topper of a bride and a groom sporting a black cowboy hat. The cake was situated on a round table decorated with white roses and was designed by Fancy Cakes By Lauren

Lauren’s Kitchen is a Dallas, Texas-based baker who was a competitor and multiple gold medal winner on the popular Food Network Challenge TV show, where one of her winning cakes was hailed by the judges as “The best cake ever made on Food Network,” according to the baker’s website.

“This wasn’t just a wedding cake we made for two superstars,” the cake designer shared on Instagram. “Our bride wanted to make a sentimental statement by recreating her parent’s wedding cake. Both of Gwen’s parents were there to see her honor them with this cake. This style of cake has become a lost art of free-hand piping called Lambeth Cake Design. It’s slowing making a comeback in weddings and I’m sure Gwen and Blake have just pushed Lambeth right back into demand with their five-tier beauty. Complete with white swan pillars, bells, tiny sugar flowers, and white chocolate cherubs…. All of the small piping details are layers upon layers of intricate Royal icing that creates an elaborate cake design fit for (literally) America royalty. Scroll through to find inspiration photos, cake sketches, and detail shots of the cake. Congratulations to this wonderful couple!!! Gwen, you got your cowboy!”
