The 55th Academy of Country Music Awards aired on Wednesday (Sept. 16), bringing a small sense of normalcy to an incredibly unpredictable year. Although the show was a bit different this year, airing from Nashville instead of Las Vegas and without a live audience, the star-studded broadcast offered a much-needed taste of live music.
The 2020 ACM Awards, included several buzzed-about moments, including a plot twist no one saw coming with Thomas Rhett and Carrie Underwood tying for the night’s top honor of Entertainer of the Year, as well as a few show-stopping performances that had fans talking long after the cameras stopped rolling.
Here, we re-live the night’s top moments with a look back at Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Mickey Guyton, Kane Brown and Miranda Lambert’s incredible performances.
