After recently going through a rather public divorce, rising star Alexandra Kay has found love again with her new boyfriend, Rocko Beall!
Who Is Alexandra Kay’s Boyfriend?
The singer/songwriter hard-launched her new relationship on Valentine’s Day via social media with a carousel of photos featuring her new boyfriend. According to her post, the “Everleave” singer is officially dating Rocko Beall, her guitarist and musical director.
“Oh how rare it is, to find someone like you. ❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day, sugar. You make me the happiest girl in the world. 🌹,” the Illinois native sweetly shared in the caption.
According to his official Instagram account, Rocko Beall is a guitarist, songwriter, and teacher who resides in Nashville, Tenn. He often shares guitar tips via social media with the hopes of helping aspiring musicians.
How Long Have They Been Dating?
It is unclear how long the pair have been dating. However, Kay recently opened up about the beginning of their relationship during an interview on The Zach Kuhn Show where she admitted that they started as friends and were initially hesitant to get into a relationship.
“He was very much like, no, you are my boss…this is a recipe for disaster. I love you. We’re such good friends,” she explained.

Kay Was The First To Make The Move
Kay, who wrote three songs with Beall for her debut album, All I’ve Ever Known, revealed she was the first one to come forward with her feelings. This moment took place about seven or eight months after her divorce.
“I wasn’t overthinking it. I was just like, we were probably just drinking and hanging out and I was just like, ‘Do you feel this way too?’ And he’s like, ‘No.’ I was like, ‘What?”
Due to their working relationship, Kay says Beall resisted dating her at first, but admitted that things quickly started to turn around when he realized his true feelings for her.
“It was very much like him trying to push it away because of the whole, he works for me dynamic, and he’s like, ‘This could go so, so bad.’ And then we just kind of cooled it and hung out as friends, and then it just happened so organically,” she explained.
She Wrote About Her Divorce On Her Debut Album
Fans are already predicting that Kay’s next set of new music will be themed around love as her last album chronicled her divorce. She writes from real-life experiences and that is evident throughout All I’ve Ever Known.
The 11-track release dropped on October 26 and takes fans through the process of her divorce through some of the most “raw, real, and authentic” songs she’s ever released.

“I’m going through a divorce from my ex who I was with for a decade,” Kay admitted to Music Mayhem.
This deeply personal album channels the emotions she experienced when watching her marriage fall apart.
“There are a lot of songs that are very, very specific to me that I don’t know how they’re going to go over with everybody else, because it was literally just me opening up a diary and just spilling my heart out onto the page and then recording it,” she shared honestly. “So that was the easiest part, but I think the hardest part of it so far is, you know, seeing everybody’s opinions online who don’t know me, who don’t know my ex, who don’t know my situation.”
“Everleave”
Among the tracks on All I’ve Ever Known, the song “Everleave” seemed to resonate with fans the most. The song details her personal story of heartbreak, which so many listeners can relate to. While she admits it was one of the most difficult songs to write, it has proven to be one of the biggest songs of her career so far.
Alexandra Kay continues to bring her music to fans around the U.S. and the world. She recently wrapped a headlining U.S. tour and will head to the U.K. and Germany for performances in the coming weeks.
