A Willie Nelson tribute concert that was taped in Nashville in early 2019 is coming to television this spring.
A&E Network just announced that Willie Nelson: American Outlaw, featuring performances by George Strait, Jimmy Buffett, Chris Stapleton, Dave Matthews, Eric Church, Emmylou Harris, Jack Johnson, Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill, Norah Jones and The Little Willies and many more, will air Sunday, April 12 at 10pm ET/PT.
The two-hour special celebrates Nelson‘s seven-decade long career and features performances, exclusive interviews and behind the scenes footage of the legendary entertainer with some of country music’s biggest stars.
Along with the announcement of Willie Nelson: American Outlaw, the network also revealed plans to air biographies focusing on the life and careers of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. Biography: Dolly premieres Sunday, April 12 at 8pm ET/PT and Biography: Kenny Rogers will air Monday, April 13 at 9pm ET/PT.

Over the course of her career, she has had the privilege of conducting interviews with some of the industry’s most prominent stars, including Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, and many others. Lauren Jo Black is a longtime member of the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music.
