Over a year after releasing her critically acclaimed album, Never Will, Ashley McBryde returned to the road on her headlining This Town Talks Tour with a stop in Philadelphia, PA at the Theatre Of The Living Arts on Thursday (Aug. 19).
The 4-time GRAMMY-nominee and country singer/songwriter delivered a 20-song set that featured performances of some of her biggest hits, including “One Night Standards,” “A Little Dive Bar In Dahlonega,” “Better On The Water,” as well as her latest single “Martha Divine.”
A highlight of the evening was the chill-inducing moment when McBryde performed her emotion-filled single, “Girl Goin’ Nowhere,” which prompted a massive sing-a-long and a smile on McBryde’s face as fans cheered her on, applauding her success despite the naysayers.

During the Arkansas native’s performance of “American Scandal,” she spotted a young fan in the crowd who happened to be celebrating her 10th birthday. It was her first concert and likely a memorable one as McBryde invited Olivia to join her on stage to perform the song.
In addition to the above mentioned songs, the ACM and CMA award winner gave fans a taste of new music, performing a song from her forthcoming, yet-to-be announced fifth studio album.
“We put a record out [called Never Will], then y’all made it go gold, then you made it go platinum,” McBryde told the crowd. “I can’t do that, you did that, thank you. Then we started making [our new record] last Monday. So, we’re going to do something off of [that].”
Throughout the show, McBryde allowed her personality as well as her guitar and vocal talents to shine with very minimal stage production, which allowed for a more intimate experience. McBryde was truly a joy to watch and it’s evident that she’s truly grateful for her fans and their support over the years.
Breakout country star Priscilla Block served as direct support on the trek, however, with Block’s impressive stage presence and confidence, it may come as a surprise that this is her first major tour.
Block showcased tracks from her debut Self-Titled EP, with performances of “Wish You Were The Whiskey,” “I Bet You Wanna Know,” and her Top 20 and climbing radio single “Just About Over You,” a song that ignited a roaring sing-a-long. In addition to songs from her Self-Titled EP, Block performed her fan-favorite track “Thick Thighs,” a country rendition of Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” and a cover of Shania Twain’s “Any Man Of Mine.”
