Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s new duet, “Nobody But You,” is here and it does not disappoint.
The song, which was co-written by Ross Copperman, Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne and Tommy Lee James, finds Shelton and Stefani professing their undying love for each other.
“I don’t wanna live without you / I don’t even want to breathe / I don’t want to dream about you / Want to wake up with you next to me / I don’t want to go down any other road now / I don’t want to love nobody but you,” they sing throughout the chorus.
The song’s sweet sentiment drew Shelton in from the moment he heard it.
“This was one of those songs where the more I heard it, the more I fell in love with it,” Shelton previously shared in a statement. “I also realized how important it is for me and where I am in my life, and I think that’s why Shane was trying to get it to me. It fits my story. I was about to go in and record when I decided that it needed Gwen on it – because it is our song. I think it’s magic.”
Magic it is. With its passionate lyrics and harmonious melody, “Nobody But You” is as romantic as it gets.
This isn’t the first time the couple has collaborated in the studio. Shelton and Stefani previously teamed up on “You Make It Feel Like Christmas,” the title track of Stefani’s holiday album.
“Nobody But You” is one of five new tracks featured on Blake Shelton’s just-released album, Fully Loaded: God’s Country.
