Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani surprised rising country star and The Voice alum, Jay Allen, when they made an appearance at his Saturday night concert at Ole Red in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

Allen took to social media on Sunday morning (Dec. 18) to share his excitement over having the famous couple watch his show from the side of the stage.

“Dang… Blake and Gwen surprised me last night and showed up for my last show of the year at his hometown @olered in Tishomingo, OK. Icing on the cake, it was sold out and my new in-laws were side stage with all of our Oklahoma family & friends. You can’t plan moments like this… 🙏🏼,” he wrote alongside a gallery of photos alongside Shelton and Stefani.

Allen, who appeared on Season 22 of NBC’s The Voice, joined Team Gwen after his blind audition where he caught the attention of Shelton and Stefani with his cover of Cody Johnson’s multi-week No.1 hit, “‘Til You Can’t.” The performance showcased his powerful vocals and stage presence and earned chair turns from the superstar couple.

Shelton and Stefani went head to head as they tried to convince Allen to join their respective teams.

“The delivery of that lyric is such a conversational song in order to stay on pitch and get through the lyrics and then hit those powerful moments man that’s tough and you sounded great doing it,” Shelton told him at the time. ”I love your tone, I love your approach. I didn’t expect to turn around and see a UFC fighter singing it, but that’s even cooler man.”

“Blake, he’s taught me so much about country music, and I got to be on two No. 1 country hits with Blake Shelton, which was just the most incredible experience of my life,” Gwen shared. “It made me so joyful to recognize that song when it came in, and to hear your voice on it, it was so beautiful and the chorus I thought it sounded really good. It was a really good performance and I would love to coach you. I know music, I’ve toured the world, and I know how to do this show, And it’s kind of a two-for-one, because I’ll just ask him if I have questions. Anyways, I thought you did a great job and I would love to coach you if you want to be over here on team Gwen.”

Allen ultimately decided to join Team Gwen. His time on the show came to an end when he was eliminated during The Knockouts.

After Allen’s stint on The Voice, The Cedar Falls, Iowa native recently wed his longtime love Kylie Morgan in front of 85 close friends and family on November 27 in Fort Myers, Florida at La Casa Toscana.

Allen also released his new single, “No Present Like The Time,” co-written by Micah Wilshire and Nate Kenyon, which he wrote after he lost his mother a few years ago. The song is set to impact Country radio in early 2023.

“It was 2019, she was my world, and only 54 when Alzheimer’s devastated our family. What I experienced during those years was a sort of sadness and doubt that almost broke my spirit, but what I gained was an invaluable lesson – time is precious,” Allen explained. ”If I could go back, I would answer every phone call, say ‘I love you’ every day, take a lot more pictures, and just spend time with her. I know my mother wouldn’t want me to live with regrets, so instead I believe she gave me this song to remind me how to live. I hope it does the same for you.”

According to his website, Jay Allen’s next scheduled tour date is set for February 2, 2023.

Allen will enjoy his first holiday season with his wife, Kylie Morgan.
