Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are taking fans behind the scenes and into the recording studio with an inside look at the making of their chart-topping duet, “Nobody But You.”

In the just-released clip, Shelton explains that Stefani was able to sneak away to Oklahoma from her Las Vegas residency to record the track on one of her days off. He goes on to gush over her vocals, saying, “It actually worked out really good because her voice is in such great shape right now because she working so much out there. I don’t know that I’ve ever heard her sing any better than she is right now. Just a super strong voice right now.”

While working with Shelton’s longtime producer, Scott Hendricks, Stefani shared her thoughts on the chance to record with Shelton.

“Just so you know, for you to know, not even a dream of mine to be on a Blake Shelton song but a fantasy would be more like better than a dream because a fantasy is completely unlikely,” she said. “Like a dream can come true but a fantasy is just something you just make up in your brain so for you to ask me to be on this song is like, wow.”

Shelton and Stefani recently performed the No.1 song on The Voice finale, where they visited an Oklahoma food bank to thank volunteers for their continued efforts amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier this month, Stefani made her Opry debut with a performance of “Nobody But You” during the 4,923rd consecutive Saturday Night performance.
